Dear Aunt:
I was just leaving home when the letter you forwarded from Fiona arrived (great adoration to the faithful Royal post-office!). She’s been worried it can’t come to me in time that Paulina, the first bride of us, had obtained a permission from a respectable gentleman that during her wedding, all girls would stay in his house, a historic spot, a granite castle, grand and great which we could only find on art books. In fact it is such a tourist attraction that visitors won’t be too out of element strolling about everywhere and we were strongly recommended that “Paulina’s lovely colleague friends” stay as long as they would, not letting slip the most beautiful April of Challenton just because the little inns in town are unable to stand.
Fiona said the girls were so happy that they all agree to get together five days earlier to make sure we wouldn’t miss the farm exhibition, especially the horse race, dog race and …… climbing trees! Not mention to cricket, I believe many of my classmates can’t wait more for it. Since the kind old gentleman is a long-time friend of the groom’s father’s, it’s not too odd for us to hang about in the castle. I think she also implied the gentleman has a son, one of the groomsmen, young, not married, obviously the most important reason for girls to drop in.
