30、通话 陈添然奶奶

　　陈添然奶奶的电话很快就接通了。她很惊讶常斐然竟然联系不上陈添然，她甚至惊愕于她们竟然不在一起。她说陈添然的爷爷得了肺癌，目前正在医院接受治疗。而陈添然自从上了大学就基本上算是搬离了出去，很少再回家，有也基本上就是圣诞节回来看看。不过大概一个月前她倒是来过医院一次，一是看望她爷爷，另一是和他们道别；她说她要回商国去了，她在那儿得到了一个很好的工作机会，薪资很优厚；而且那里也有她哥哥在，所以也叫不需要担心她。

　　常斐然听完定在原地冒了一身冷汗，他能明显地感觉他的整个魂魄和生命力在一瞬间就从头顶被抽走了，整个人都空了。

　　常斐然：“No, she's not with me. I did't even know she was back. She's never told me about it.（不，她不在我这儿。我甚至都不知道她已经回来了。她从来没有跟我说过这件事。）”

　　陈添然奶奶的声音在对面也开始变得焦急起来：“What? Then where could she be? Oh no—my baby! Her grandpa is already like this; I can’t afford for anything to go wrong with her!（什么？那她还能去哪儿？哦不——我的宝贝！她爷爷已经变成这样了，我再也承受不起她出任何事了！）”

　　常斐然：“Everything is gonna to be fine. I’ll do anything to make sure of that. Now first take a breath, and then let’s think… Did you notice anything unusual about her around the time she left? Like, did you see any strange people hanging around her? Did she mention anything to you?（一切都会没事的。我会不惜一切确保她的安全。现在先深呼吸，然后我们冷静想一想… 她离开前后有没有什么不对劲的地方？比如说，你有没有注意到她身边出现过什么奇怪的人？她有没有跟你提起过什么？）”

　　陈添然奶奶：“… It’s all my fault. I didn’t pay enough attention to her. But she did give me a heads-up that she’s gonna be busy and that sometimes she wouldn’t be able to get to her phone. So I didn’t think too much of it when I didn’t hear from her.（…这都是我的错。我对她没有足够关心。可她确实提前跟我说过她会很忙，有时候手机也不方便接。所以当我没接到她的电话时，我也没多想。）”

　　常斐然：“That’s very valuable information for us. What else? Did she go by herself? Did she mention any friends? What kind of job is it? Or did she say which part of the country she was going to?（这些信息对我们来说非常重要。还有别的吗？她是一个人去的吗？她有没有提到过朋友？她具体是做什么工作的？或者她有没有说过要去哪个地区？） ”

　　陈添然奶奶：“I should’ve asked her more. How did it never occur to me to ask her that? I was too preoccupied!（我当时就该多问她一些的。我怎么会连这个都没想到去问？我那时候太忙、太分心了！）”

　　说完，电话那端传来啜泣声。

　　陈添然奶奶：“-But wait, this isn’t recent, and I don’t know if it’ll be helpful. But she was involved in an organization years ago. I believe it’s a psychological organization founded by her supervisor, and the whole thing was based on a book about her.（等一下，这已经不是最近的事了，我也不知道有没有用。但是她几年前参与过一个组织。我记得这是她的导师创办的一个心理学组织，整个组织都是基于一本关于她的书创办的。）”

　　常斐然知道这本书的事，但是这个组织他完全没有听陈添然提过。

　　常斐然：“What’s the name of that organization?（这个组织叫什么名字？）”

　　陈添然奶奶：“It’s grown quite big now. I think it’s called something like ‘Orbital’—no, no, it’s ‘Silver Orb.’ ‘Silver Orb’ is its name.（它现在发展得很大了。我记得好像叫什么 ‘Orbital’ 之类的——不，不是，是 ‘Silver Orb’。它的名字就是 ‘Silver Orb’。）”

　　常斐然：“Silver Orb？”

　　他想到了明玉轮。
